Video: Do North County Dogs Love Carrots?

Some loved them, others seemed to disregard them as food and a few were more curious than anything else. Most are up for adoption at Rancho Coastal Humane Society.

Patch recently aired a video of Dr. Kathy Boehme of the Drake Center for Veterinary Care showing readers why and how to introduce vegetables to dogs.

Since then, readers have left comments saying that a lot of dogs like carrots as treats.
So I went down to Rancho Coastal Humane Society with a bag of carrots sticks and sought expert opinion from a few dogs up for adoption.

Some loved them, others seemed to disregard them as food and a few were more curious than anything else.

So take a look at the video and hear directly from Kaya, Charlie, Brownie, Cody (still available for adoption), Zena, Penny, Lacey, Diesel and Salami.
