Bazeley's husband reported her missing at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, saying it was highly unusual behavior for her to miss work, the lieutenant said, adding that the case was turned over to San Diego police after sheriff's search and rescue volunteers scoured the park.
Bazeley worked for Tecnadyne Inc., a Rancho Sante Fe engineering firm owned by her husband, Andrew Bazeley, according to the company's website. Tecnadyne Inc. makes parts used in underwater research vessels.
