A 12-year-old Carmel Valley resident wants to help find a cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, often called Lou Gehrig's Disease.)
Megan Spector wanted to do something to help find a cure for her aunt, Marjie Block who was diagnosed with ALS a few years ago.
She reached out to the community and helped create a benefit concert called, Strike a Chord.
Singers and performers will take the stage at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1 at The Irwin M.Jacobs Qualcomm Hall.
All of the proceeds will benefit ALS Association of San Diego.
An online auction will also be available until Feb. 5.
