The Del Mar Village Association will be hosting its annual Holiday Wonderland event and tree lighting celebration on Saturday, Dec. 1.
The event's old-fashioned Holiday Wonderland will include all types of holiday fun and activities including: photos with Santa, snow play area, horse-drawn carriage rides, restaurant tastes, face painting, cake walk, musical and dance performances and a children's holiday crafts and fun zone. Activities will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. followed by the tree lighting.
The tree lighting at 5 p.m. will take place at the L'Auberge Del Mar amphitheater where there will be complimentary refreshments and live holiday music by Michael Tiernen.
The event will take place along the Highway 101 corridor form 15th Street to 11th Street, including the Del Mar Plaza, St. Peter's Episcopal Church and Del Mar Library.
Tickets necessary for some of the Holiday Wonderland activities will be sold in books of 20 for $20 and can be purchased online or at the event.
