It may be the first day of the fall season, but the dog days of summer are just starting for our pet dogs. Tuesday is the first day for off leash dogs at Dog Beach in Del Mar.
The city requires dogs to be leashed on Dog Beach from 29th Street north during the summer months and totally bans dogs on all beaches south of the same point. However, starting today, dogs are allowed off the leash at Dog Beach and on leash elsewhere.
