With constant updates on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the continued worries about the economy, it’s hard to find feel-good news.
But that’s why Patch prides itself in its work. Though it’s important to cover budget cuts, the recession’s effects on local businesses and how the ongoing war affects our soldiers, Patch also shines a bright light on good things in our communities, too.

But these are just a few of the many young people in San Diego County making a difference.
Help Patch recognize 30 young people by nominating those you know in our second annual “Patch’s San Diego County 30 Under 30” project. The 30 people selected through nominations will be featured in the entire month of October on Patch’s 13 local sites.
Nominations should include 300 words as to why the person should be featured and contact information for the person. Additional information, such as resumes and portraits, are useful.
Nominations will be accepted by email to SanDiego@Patch.com until Sept. 30.
