Rock Goddess Joan Jett to Play San Diego County Fair

The San Diego County Fair at the Del Mar Fairgrounds continues through July 4.

The “Queen of Rock n’ Roll” will take to the Heineken Grandstand Stage at the San Diego County Fair on Wednesday, July 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Featured on Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, Jett popularized the feminine power rock anthem in the 1980s.

She started with a group called The Runaways (that experience was made into a recent film starring Kristen Stewart as Jett) before fronting Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. That group produced such hits as I love Rock n’ Roll, I Hate Myself for Loving You and Bad Reputation.

After more than 30 years, Joan Jett is still rocking out. Her show is free with fair admission.

Prices: Free with fair admission (third and fifth levels and standing area in front of stage); $28 (second and fourth levels); $34 (terrace). Reserved tickets can be purchased online through Ticketmaster.
