USPS Village Post Office Opens in Carmel Valley
The Shell Car Wash & Express Lube station at 3861 Valley Centre Dr. now offers some postal services, including the Priority Flat Rate boxes and shipping.
The U.S. Postal Service announced Friday the opening of a "Village Post Office" in Carmel Valley at the Shell Car Wash & Express Lube on Valley Centre Drive. The station offers limited Postal Services products and services.
Village Post Offices are operated by local business owners contracting with the Postal Service. This station now provides Priority Flat Rate boxes and shipping, prepaid Priority Mail Flat Rate products and stamps.
The Postal Service expects to have 300 Village Post Offices around the country by this summer, according to Businessweek, and many more in the future.
It is located at 3861 Valley Centre Dr., San Diego, CA 92130.
Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
