Yeah Yeah Yeahs Show Canceled in Del Mar

The Yeah Yeah Yeah's will not perform at the Del Mar Racetrack due to a scheduling conflict, according to a spokesperson for the Del Mar Concert Series.

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are a no no no for Del Mar. The indie rock trio canceled their August 23 show at the Del Mar Racetrack.

The band led by Karen O. was a late addition to the Del Mar Concert Series lineup, but were replaced earlier this month without much notice. Patch reached out to the band Wednesday afternoon, but had not heard back at time of publication.

"We were looking forward to have the Yeah Yeah Yeahs on August 23rd but unfortunately, a scheduling conflict by the group caused them to cancel," said a spokesperson for the Del Mar Concert Series in an email to Patch. "Del Mar was fortunate to be able to arrange for SOJA's appearance instead."

SOJA, formerly known as Soldiers of Jah Army, is a reggae band out of Washington, D.C. The show starts after the last race and is free to racetrack admission.
