Local Theater Serves Up Movie-Themed Drink Stirred, Not Shaken

Kick-Ass, Hit Girl and Red Mist return for the follow-up of Kick-Ass 2 in theaters this Friday and one local theater wants to make sure you have a "kick-ass" cocktail to enjoy during the Rated R action flick. Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas in Del Mar Highlands Town Center will serve the sweet and sassy Hit Girl Martini this month.

The Hit Girl Martini consists of Herradura Blanco Tequila, hibiscus syrup, fresh lemon, agave nectar and Angostura orange bitters.

Crafting specialty drinks for featured movies is not new for Cinepolis, who has a full service bar in the theater. Last month, the theater introduced The Long Ranger (Larceny bourbon, fresh blackberries, lemon juice and sage) and The Wolverine (Bombay Sapphire East Gin, grapefruit juice, lemon juice and Stone IPA) to the menu.
