Jazz singer Anna Danes, who sang the National Anthem at Opening Day at Del Mar, is photographed in the stands wearing a hat designed by Solana Beach milliner Jill Courtemanche and painted by Encinitas artists Lynnie Diede of Lucky to Be in Love. Courtemanche made the flowers out the music from Dane’s latest album. This is the first collaboration between Jill Courtemanche Millinery and Lucky to be in Love, but most likely not the last.
